Denmark’s Janchart Shipping has added another handy bulker in a deal that sees one Greek company exit shipowning. Janchart is understood to have paid $6.85m for the 14-year-old, 33,600 dwt Gea, the last ship owned by Ulises Naviera.

Janchart was established in 1992 by its current director, Jan Jørgensen. The outfit is also active as brokers in dry cargo chartering mainly in the handysize segment.
