Japan Drilling Company jackup awarded four-well contract in Vietnam

Japan Drilling Company has been awarded a four-well contract for jackup drilling rig Hakuryu-11 for operations offshore Vung Tau, Vietnam.

The contract is with an operator based on a subcontract with PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services Corporation who secured an additional drilling contract from the operator.

The contract is scheduled to commence between August to October 2021, and duration is around 300 days. There is an option included for either one or two wells, with an expected duration of 60 days each.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
