Dubai: A statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, Dr. Roj Nuri Shaways said on Wednesday that the Japanese ambassador in Iraq Masato Takaoka presented a proposal for a long-term loan for the rehabilitation of the port sector in Iraq, especially the port of Umm Qasr, by developing its facilities, clearing shipping lanes and removing old shipwrecks.
