Japan to fund Indonesia port

Jakarta: Via its Overseas Development Agency, Japan has promised Indonesia a total of ¥150bn to be spent on infrastructure projects. Among the lead projects is a port in Cilamaya, Karawang, West Java. This is the latest in a slew of ports planned for the archipelago. The government is now trying to get funding together for more ports beyond Java, where the largest terminals are based.  [19/12/13]
