Jasa Merin wins Petronas contract for support vessels in offshore Malaysia

Athens: Vestigo Petroleum, part of Petronas, has contracted Jasa Merin (Malaysia) to provide support vessel services at the Tembikai oilfield in offshore Terengganu.

The contract, worth RM 21.17m ($5.7m), is effective from the third week of June and is for a primary term of two years.

The vessels will support Vestigo’s drilling and oil production programme at the Malaysian offshore field. Vestigo hopes to produce 30,000 to 50,000 bbl of oil equivalent per day at the field by 2017.

Jasa Merin is part of Silk Holdings, which is listed on Malaysia’s Bursa stock exchange.
