Jebel Ali LNG facility set for expansion

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates is making plans to expand its LNG terminal at Jebel Ali from its existing 3m tonne annual capacity. This is in addition to the planned LNG import terminal at Fujairah which will have an annual design capacity of 9m tonnes. No details have been given to the timeframe nor scale of the Jebel Ali expansion.

Energy demand in the UAE is growing 9% annually as its population expands and industrial developments take place at a rapid rate.
