Jens Ismar appointed executive director at Exmar

Jens Ismar is returning to his gas roots, taking the position of executive director at Belgium’s Exmar. Ismar, a Norwegian citizen, had been at the helm of Western Bulk for nearly 11 years through to April this year. He has been a boardmember at Exmar since 2010.

Ismar spent seven years at Bergesen – rebranded BW Gas – earlier in his career.

“Really looking forward to working with this great team to continue to build this platform based on Exmar’s history of commercial and technical innovation,” Ismar wrote on LinkedIn today.

Earlier this week, Splash reported that Exmar has formed a dedicated LNG third-party shipmanagement joint venture with Hong Kong’s Anglo-Eastern Univan Group.
