JES secures four bulker options

Shanghai: JES International Holdings announced that the company has signed options for the construction of four Newcastlemax bulk carriers through its wholly owned subsidiary Jiangsu New East Marine Engineering.

The contract is signed with an unnamed European owner, who ordered four of the bulk carriers worth around $240m on 28 February, with the options valued at approximately $212m according to JES.

The four Newcastlemax options, if exercised, are expected to be delivered after 2016. [07/03/14]
