Shanghai: Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry, an affiliate shipyard of Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design, has signed a shipbuilding contract with Centaur Marine for the construction of a self-elevating liftboat.
The contract value is $56m. Delivery is scheduled before the third quarter of 2016.
Shanghai Bestway acquired Dajin Heavy Industry in 2013 as part of its long term business plan. The shipyard is capable of building containership, bulk carrier, chemical tankers and offshore vessels. [11/07/14]
