Jiangsu Fanzhou Shipping orders semi-submersible vessel at Nantong Xiangyu

Chinese offshore service and heavy lift shipping company Jiangsu Fanzhou Shipping has placed an order at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, formerly Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry, for the construction of a 60,000 dwt semi-submersible vessel.

Pricing of the deal was not revealed and delivery of the vessel is scheduled in early 2019.

Last month, Fanzhou Shipping ordered a 60,000dwt semi-submersible vessel at China Merchants Heavy Industry with delivery set at the end of 2018.

Nanjing-based Jiangsu Fanzhou Shipping currently owns a fleet of 15 vessels including ocean going tugs, AHTS vessel and heavy lift vessels.
