Business Development - Americas

Responsible for identifying, marketing, developing and implementing a successful sales strategy to grow the company's North and South American business.  This position requires experience in building strong, lasting relationships with customers, prospects that translate business requirements, into actionable business opportunities, as well as maintaining client retention with active, positive and proactive account management and support. More specifically your responsibility includes:

  • Prospect new customers, new business opportunities through independent sales pipeline
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Create pricing strategies necessary to achieve sales goals and KPI’s
  • Communicate activities with management and provide periodic reports
  • Implement a business plan to effectively manage assigned market segment
  • Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how the company brings value to address critical business challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English
  • Ability to travel extensively in both the USA and South America
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Deliver executive level presentations to establish credibility through mature, energetic and articulate communication
  • Comfortable making cold calls, qualifying prospects, generating interest, building new-client pipelines
  • Possess the requisite sales characteristics of tenacity, drive, business acumen, persuasiveness, and ability to close deals at all levels
  • Demonstrate ability to be organized and flexible in an environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to work both independently, and within larger commercial team structure
  • Collaborate effectively within corporate structure
  • 2+ years of sales experience in refined products.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals
