Our client, a leading international provider of technology and software solutions to the maritime industry, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team.  In this role, you will represent the company's offering of SaaS based applications and solutions to customers throughout Asia.  You will work closely with the Global VP of Sales in the corporate office, global sales team and management of the company to uncover and prospect for new business opportunities.  We are looking for someone with the following:

  • University degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
  • Must have a background in software sales, able to sell SaaS B2B solutions to the maritime industry
  • Must have experience managing and directing a sales team, able to set quotas, KPI's, able to lead the team to ensure all sales objectives are being met
  • Excellent command of the English language, Japanese, Korean or Chinese fluency a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with database management, software, cybersecurity, must be comfortable selling solutions and technology
  • A background and contacts in the maritime industry strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to lead and conduct online and in person software demonstrations to prospective customers
  • Local packages only, no expat or relocation at this time
