Our marine equipment OEM client is looking to strengthen it's European and Middle East region Business Development team.
This BDM opportunity will suit a technically minded relationship builder with a background in ships mechanical equipment.
It is likely that you will have business development experience in propulsion systems, below waterline equipment, pumps, valves, deck equipment or similar.
You will be responsible for building relationships with ship owners in your region, and together with the local distributors, identify and generate business opportunities.
A corporately led incentive solves the challenge of motivating local distributors to engage with projects which may fall outside of their region. Capturing and utilising their local knowledge and relationships will create significant advantage and opportunity for you.
When business travel and meetings become possible again, you should expect business travel to the main shipping hubs to be a major part of your role.
As a confident and adaptable communicator, you will be equally comfortable talking to CEOs, Superintendents, Ships Crew and anyone in-between.
The company and their products have a market leading position, supported by a history of successful installations and after sales care.
An uncapped commission scheme rewards building and developing as large a book of business as possible. Candidates with existing ship owner contacts will be able to capitalise on bringing their network with them.
Given the size of the territory and the frequency of (when able) business travel, you will be based from home. Preference will be given to candidates who are located near main airports and transport links in any major maritime hub country in Europe.
Written and spoken, business and technical level English language is essential.
Applicants must be able to live and travel within the EU without additional visas.
