Chief Engineer or Technical Superintendent for Inspections  

We are looking for Inspectors & Auditors to join our SeaTec Team, preferably with background as Chief Engineer or Technical SuperintendentWe offer on-boarding and continuous training. You will learn through on-boarding and continuous training by our Technical Team – experts with background and track record of hundreds of vessels attendedOur Inspectors are responsible to the Technical Manager. 

We are looking for candidates based in: 

  • Houston, Miami, Panama 
  • Spain, Netherlands & Greece 
  • Egypt, Morocco, East Africa, West Africa 
  • Japan 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: 

  • Technical / Condition inspections 
  • Pre-purchase and Pre-sale Inspection  
  • ISM / MLC / ISPS Audits 
  • Pre-vetting assistance 
  • Environmental Compliance and Navigational Audits 
  • Accident & Incident Investigation 
  • Assist & supervise various technical projects, such as Dry dock and Repair Supervision 

GENERAL 

  • Every ship visit must be supported with a report on the purpose of the visit and the overall conclusions and/or recommendations. Where the visit is not covered by one of the standard reports, then a ship visit report is to be completed. 

 

ESSENTIAL:  

  • Preferred: Chief Engineer or Technical Superintendent or Marine Engineer 
  • Class 1 Master Mariner or Chief Officer 
  • Experience in ISM Auditing and Vetting Inspections (optional) 
  • A good understanding of the statutory requirements, regulations and marine codes of practice 
  • Good communication skills and an ability to interact with management office and crew at all levels and nationalities 
  • Good IT Skills and report writing skills in presenting materials and reports 
  • fluent in both written and spoken business English
