Our client is an international ship owner who owns and commercially manages a fleet of chemical and product tankers.

Due to business developments, they are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Operator to join them in Singapore.

In this position, you will report to the Operations Manager based and will be responsible for operating owned and chartered chemical and product tankers. Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee day to day operations of the vessels
  • Prepare and monitor vessel schedules and port activities
  • Coordinate vessel movements and communicate with clients
  • Handle complaints and inquiries
  • Work closely with other departments and offices

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in tanker operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive personality
  • Ability to speak Mandarin or Japanese would be an advantage (will be working with customers in China and Japan)
