Faststream is pleased to be exclusive with a global leading Port and Ships Agency provider that is seeking to hire a Country Manager covering port operations across offices in Greece to be based alongside the team in Piraeus.

The Role:

  • Managing port operational services across Greek offices
  • Overseeing office operations including development of existing staff
  • Good commercial awareness of the local area
  • Proactively identify sales growth opportunities
  • Contributing to local sales and commercial strategy overseeing maintenance of existing and new customer relationships
  • Continuously monitor customer needs in cooperation with sales
  • Actively manage resources and processes related to the Agency services within designated ports, always within company governance and local law

Candidates must have:

  • Relevant operational ships agency or port agency experience
  • Experience of managing operations teams (and in some cases remotely)
  • Must have local port and supply chain knowledge
  • Strong commercial drive
  • Strong ambition to succeed
  • Fluency in English and Greek; both written and spoken
  • Flexible and good time management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on project requirements including weekend work
  • Willingness to travel to local ports in the area
