Global Inventory Manager
Responsible for the planning of global inventory levels & material costing
Ensure the lowest cost of product ownership while maintaining adequate service level
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement continuous improvement methods and processes to raise overall performance levels.
Directly supervises inventory management team for the Americas, EMEA, and Asian regions

Daily Challenges:
Lead cross-functional quarterly operations planning review meetings to develop forecasted stocking profiles
Cross-functional reviews include analysis of the following: requirements for existing or new stocking locations, inventory plans for all lines and products, slow moving products and develop actions plans, problem products as identified by the department and/or from fill rate analysis, sourcing plans to ensure lowest total cost, product launches and/or discontinuations and analysis of historical results against actual performance and develop corrective actions, globally
Establish common metrics for inventory turns, order fill rates, and lowest total cost
Coordinate with Regional Planners to align local inventory execution with global sales and operations strategies
Lead global inventory planning processes and tool management activities
Supervise Americas planning team, responsible for the acquisition and distribution of inventory through 30 sites within the region
Analyze periodically the global inventory distribution and implement plans to reduce slow moving inventory

Preferred Qualifications
4 year Degree in Business or related
MBA highly desired
Knowledge of the chemical industry very helpful
Knowledge of the global marine industry very helpful
10+ years of inventory management experience
Ability to develop and lead S&OP parameters
Ability to create and drive supply network targets
Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources is required
Capacity to build relationships internally & externally is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes & current best practices is required
Experience in supply chain technology/processes such as JD Edwards, SAP, Manhattan Associates, Manugistics, JIT, and ERP a plus.
Demonstrate a proven track record in direct and indirect management of people and achieving results
APICS designation
International travel expectations of 20%. Candidates please be authorized to work legally in the United States.
