Faststream is pleased to be partnering with a leading, global provider of Satellite Communications to the Maritime Industry. As part of their current transformation programme, our client is seeking to appoint a Key Account Manager. The main purpose of the role is to support the implementation of a more strategic focus on key account management as part of the transformed business model within the maritime sales organisation.
The position can be based remotely from anywhere in Europe however there is a preference to be based out of Denmark.
As a Key Account Manager, you will play an integral role within the business with the aim to develop and maintain strategic accounts, being the point of contact between the account and all internal teams. This role is not solely a 'Sales Position', but one where sales will be incorporated as part of the development and the execution of strategic plans for the key account.
A proven track record in hardware sales to the Maritime Industry is essential to be successful in this role with ideally a minimum of 3 years' in Satcoms sales. You must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Airtime providers and experience in managing key accounts on a global scale. This position will require a lot of international travel.
The ideal candidate will possess a background of strategic account management working collaboratively with the customer, developing alliances and partnerships both externally and internally across multiple divisions and countries. Alongside the traditional duties of a Key Account Manager, they will also be required to take a leading role in developing the future in developing the organisation's integrated solutions, ensuring they are well aligned with the customer's present and future requirements.
