An opportunity has come up for an experienced Naval Architect/Structural Engineer to work in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Being part of an international team working on high value Offshore Floating Facilities, you will be leading the engineering deliverables of sophisticated hull and topside structures.   • Lead the design of Hull Structures including its interfacing with the sophisticated and complex topside structures for Floating Facilities
  • Oversee the design of Global and Local Hull Structural Design including Riser, Mooring, Offloading, Topside Module Stools and LQ arrangements for major Floating Facilities
  • Direct and mentor structural teams both internal and 3rd party under direct control
  • Lead the execution of all engineering deliverables planned by the Principal Engineer
  • Responsible for the preparation of structural design philosophy, design basis and functional specification of design, engineering and construction of the FPSO
  • Responsible for a team of Senior Engineers, Engineers and Designers to facilitate conceptual and basic structural engineering activities
  • Interfacing with other disciplines for designing the FPSO
  • Assist in managing key packages/subcontracting activities
  • Lead concept selection study, engineering definition deliverables and other engineering deliverables throughout the entire engineering phase
  • Lead the preparation of MDR calculation report, engineering analysis, engineering drawings and equipment/MTO and material specification
  • Review FEED, Basic and DDE deliverables by subcontractors and get back with input


  • An Engineering Degree in relevant discipline
  • At least 12 years of working experience in oil & gas sector as a Discipline Engineer
  • At least 6 years in EPCC Projects for specific engineering discipline
  • Completed at least 1 Full Cycle FPSO EPCIC Project
