  • Lead and support in maintaining electrical, instrument, automation and control (EIAC) facility
    performance for all assets and manage relevant inspection and maintenance activities for all
    electrical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring its reliability throughout asset life to meet
    statutory compliance, company’s requirement and client’s expectation.
  • Responsible for the performance of the electrical, instrument, automation and control (EIAC) facilities of the existing fleet.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical, instrumentation, automation and control aspects within the fleet.
  • Ensure that sufficient technical support for the electrical/ instrumentation/ automation is provided to the existing assets when in operation.
  • Provide input to projects, whether modifications to the existing fleet, demobilisation, reutilisation or new. Assist in commissioning in the construction/ module yard(s) and offshore.
  • Inspect, monitor and analyse operating data to ensure facility HSSEQ and uptime requirements.
  • Provide initiatives to increase the effectiveness of the electrical, instrumentation and automation design, maintenance and operation.
  • Investigate facility downtime, incidents and breakdowns related to the electrical distribution, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Be the focal point for technical queries (TQ) and Management of Change (MoC) from the offshore facilities which involve electrical, instrumentation, automation and control input.
  • Ensure that they are reviewed, and the safest, most cost-effective and reliable solutions are proposed.
  • Audit the existing and new facilities, during the yard and offshore phases.
  • Implement and oversee the operation, maintenance, integrity operating windows (OIW), data capture, trending and analysis for the EIAC and ensure any findings are resolved in a safe, cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Propose and manage modifications/ upgrades to increase productivity, reduce downtime, optimise maintenance, reduce interventions and ensure HSSEQ by using data analysis to extend operational uptimes and reduce losses due to equipment unavailability.
  • Assist and oversee the EIAC Refurbishment and Life Extension (RLE) scopes for assets.
  • Provide input into modifications, repairs, upgrades and replacements.
  • Liaise with Class, regulatory bodies and clients as required.
  • Organise the Electrical, Instrument, Automation and Control stream by resourcing, planning and ensuring the correct discipline input to adequately support the existing and new units.


  • Management of EIAC technical support for the operating fleet, facilities in lay-up/ preservation, reutilisation and new units.
  • Troubleshooting, modifications and decommissioning
  • Developing and analysing performance trends to prevent failures.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance in planning and coordinating work for the Operation Department.
  • Interfaces with Engineering and Project Delivery during modifications (MOCs) or new projects.


  • Minimum of 12 years in a Marine and Oil & Gas Engineering, design and operations
  • At least 4 years in an operations supervisory position, onshore/ offshore preferably in Engineering, Construction and Operations.
  • Experienced user of DCS and ICSS systems
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or equivalent).
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer
