Faststream has partnered with an international organisation in the search for a Marine Engineer to join their team in Shanghai.
Our clients are global specialists within the marine and energy sectors, providing professional services across a wide range of disciplines including marine engineering, non-destructive testing and inspection and marine and energy loss adjusting.
They are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join their marine team. This position will see you undertaking investigations and assessments relating to marine engineering matters as well as performing incident surveys on-board vessels related, but not limited to, hull and machinery and specialist crane equipment.
You will also be expected to provide subject matter expert advice to clients as well as expert evidence and written testimony for court or arbitration matters.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth mechanical knowledge. Due to the intricacies of this position, candidates who have sailed as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer with shore-based experience will be highly-regarded, and those Chief Engineers with limited shore side experience are still encouraged to apply.
This position also requires excellent written and spoken English skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company where you can grow and progress and who are already well established in the industry.
