A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Marine Investigator with this Maritime Authority, based in their London office.
As part of a growing team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to marine safety investigations. You will collect and analyse evidence from incidents / accidents, prepare accurate and thorough reports, identify safety issues and lessons learned to improve safety, deliver presentations and represent the Authority, all to improve marine safety globally.
With at least ten years' experience at sea, and holding a Master's CoC, you will also have three years' experience ashore as a marine investigator. A thorough understanding of maritime legislation and marine accident investigations is vital to the role, as are inter-personal skills, tact and diplomacy. You will enjoy working in a good team environment, be able to travel at short notice if required and have excellent critical thinking and analysis skills.
You must also have existing working entitlement for the UK, and preference will be given to candidates already living within commuting distance of London.
