We are performing a search for a Marine Superintendent.
As Marine Superintendent you will work together with the Technical Superintendent to ensure that the fleet and it's crew are operating to safe and best practice standards.
You will be responsible for a small fleet of small craft operating locally, so will be in daily contact with the crew and vessels so this is a comparatively hands on role.
You should expect to deal with crew welfare situations as well as ISM and ISPS systems, training and management.
You must have sailed as a Snr Deck Officer for several years and gained similar shore-based experience in a ship-management related position. It is not necessary that you sailed on or have worked with small craft, in fact exposure to commercial ISM standards is preferred. However, a candidate with a combination of all four will be ideal!
As per many Marine Superintendent roles, excellent communication skills are required, in this case the need is amplified by the closeness to the operations.
The role is based in the Humber area of North Lincolnshire, UK. Ideally applicants will already live within commutable distance but those willing to re-locate are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants MUST hold the existing right to live and work in the UK.
