Description

    • Assist to underwrite and provide quotations in accordance with assigned authorized limits and within the company’s underwriting guidelines and treaty terms;

 

    • Assist to arrange for placement of facultative reinsurance, if required;

 

    • Assist to review renewal of accounts including marine open cover and negotiate renewal terms and follow up on policy renewal prior to expiry;

 

    • Assist to underwrite request for mid-term changes to the policy coverage;

 

    • Issue cover notes and follow up on outstanding cover notes and monthly declaration of shipments under marine open cover;

 

    • Assist in sales and service visitation to intermediaries and clients for monitoring of sales and renewal retention;

 

    • Giving instructions for booking of risks and assisting in credit control activities if necessary;

 

    • Coordinate with policy processing team for the collection/dispatch of documents to clients / intermediaries;

 

    • Provide Help desk service to external customers on all enquiries pertaining to web-based generated documentation and basic technical support;

 

    • Check, review vessel accumulation and reinsurance allotment for confirmation of eMarine (web-based) policies for data processing;

 

    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), if required;

 

    • Assist in products development and enhancement;

 

    • Perform customer and vessel screening via inhouse system for compliance against Anti Money Laundering /Counter Financing of Terrorism inline with the Group Policy; and

 

  • Participate in any ad-hoc project assigned.
    • Degree holder preferable with professional insurance qualification (eg. ACII);

 

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience;

 

    • Good communication and written skills;

 

    • Good interpersonal skills;

 

    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and

 

  • Team player and able to work independently.
    • Degree holder preferable with professional insurance qualification (eg. ACII);

 

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience;

 

    • Good communication and written skills;

 

    • Good interpersonal skills;

 

    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and

 

  • Team player and able to work independently.
