Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for knowing and meeting the technical requirements for all vessels
• Maintain company equipment which includes tugs and oil barges in a safe, clean regulatory compliant condition
• Ensure compliance with the company's Environmental and Health and Safety policies
• Foster a positive team building atmosphere to develop and retain good employees
• Requires excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be thoroughly experienced with industry standards for ship docking, towing, operation and maintenance of tugs and oil barges
• Hands on manager comfortable in the office, on deck, or in a ship yard
• Some travel required to terminals and locations where tugs and barges transit

Desired skills and experience:

• University degree in Marine Engineering - Academy grad preferred
• USCG Engineering license - and experience at sea
• Experience on Tugs / ATBs is a plus
• 1+ year of shoreside experience
• Experience managing dry dock periods
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office, NS5
