Our client, a leading providing of tug services in the US, is looking for a Port Technician/Port Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will oversee all daily operations and preventative maintenance of the equipment. Based in Baltimore, no travel. Working with the tug engineers onboard, you will troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise while ensuring that daily duties and proper work techniques are being followed. We are looking for someone with the following:
- Maritime academy preferred, strong consideration for someone with engineering experience on tugs/small vessels
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the tug industry preferred
- Sailing time as C/E or previous shoreside tug experience is ideal
- Able to communicate effectively, taking ownership for jobs/tasks to completion
- Familiar with class and regulatory rules/statutes, specifically USCG and ABS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Currently authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship at this time. Must have or be able to obtain MMD and TWIC
