I am currently working with a growing Cruise company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist, focusing on the Hotel and Technical Department, to work in the companies Head Office.
As Procurement Specialist - Hotel and Technical, you will be responsible for the purchasing, planning, supply and logistics of all owner supply items for the build of new cruise ships, as well as for the operational requirements of the existing fleet and offices. You will ensure that products of the very best quality and standards are obtained for the best price - ensuring that timelines are adhered to with organised delivery.
-Procurement of Hotel and Technical goods for the Newbuild and existing fleet
-Sourcing the best providers in the market in terms of value, quality, delivery schedules
-Ensuring goods are delivered in a timely manner and in the quality required
-Negotiating with external providers to achieve the best commercial agreement
-Managing the flow of all service and product requisitions
The ideal candidate will have:
-At least 5 years' experience working in a similar capacity
-Strategic sourcing experience
-A degree level qualification
-Certification from (or working towards) Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) - preferred
-Experience using Procurement systems (Oracle / SAP applications)
-Strong IT skills
-Project Management and Change Management experience
-Good relationship management skills
