Faststream are working with a global leader in maritime telecommunications in search of a Sales Manager to drive sales in Northern Europe. We are looking for an energetic new sales person to join our sales team!
Promote and sell Satellite's Datacomms services in the Maritime market in Europe, with a particular focus on France and Italy.
Attendance at exhibitions and partner events
Customer sales presentations
Understand the key players in the industry
Understand industry, market and technology trends
Liaising with Marketing to ensure that Datacomms has the correct industry exposure and industry products to sell
Regular sales reporting and forecasting
Required skills and capabilities:
Currently or has recently employed as a sales manager with a proven track record of more than 5 years sales experience in the Maritime VSAT market
Proven contacts in the Maritime VSAT market in France and Italy
Will currently have a number of live Maritime accounts/customers
Knowledge of iDirect products and services
Currently or has recently worked for a satellite owner, VSAT service company or equipment supplier (Maritime VSAT antenna/modem manufacturer)
Be well connected with all sectors in the industry including equipment suppliers, resellers, end users, competitors and trade organisations
Knowledge of other Maritime communication products such as Inmarsat and Iridium products
Fluent in English and other European language(s) would be an advantage
Engineering degree or an equivalent qualification with good technical knowledge of iDirect modem technology
Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter and self-motivated
Great abilities to network and maintain customer relationships
Creative business skills
