Direct Search Global is working with a renowned leading Vessel Owner. We are looking for an individual with 15 years of experience in execution of major Oil & Gas EPCIC  (FPSO preferably) projects, familiar with managing contractors and suppliers from Mooring Turret and SURF. The individual will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a SURF Manager. Send your CV to and shortlisted candidates will be contacted by one of our specialists shortly.


  • Ensure Safe > Operable > Maintainable > Fully compliant  Basis of Design (FPSO Marine Design)
  • Set up and agree definitive work scopes, physical work area boundaries and interfaces
  • Prepare/Ensure workable designs with details of weight/equipment/specifications/quantities which will be inputs for the bid cost model
  • All engineering work/activities will be completed within allocated budget and timeline
  • Ensure expedition of SURF Systems equipment delivery to integration phase at site within allocated/agreed dates and installations sequences
  • Resolve technical misalignments and conflicts between the different engineering disciplines
  • Ensure quality systems are implemented and used/followed in accordance to Engineering Execution Plan
  • Review/Checks on proposed design (SURF)
  • Liaise/manage internal/external stakeholders, clarifying and resolving interfaces and specific requirements to support designs
  • Support external parties with the issuance of Bid Phase deliverables in a timely manner
  • Verification on key deliverables that will directly impact weight and cost
  • Ensure a common understanding/agree and recording of Engineering contingency which are included in Weight and C of G reports
  • Provide inputs to weekly and monthly project progress report
  • Set up and come to a common agreement  on key interface requirements
  • Set up and come to a common agreement on installation methods and sequences with the Construction and Offshore Transportation & Installation department
  • Construction/Manufacturing and testing schedules are to be established to 'ready for delivery ex-works' date and the subsequent Estimated Time of Arrival at selected module construction site
  • Responsible to  the delivery of fully completed and tested equipments to the site in accordance to "Required On-Site" dates
  • Carry over punch lists are to be minimized


  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in execution of major Offshore Oil & Gas EPCIC projects
  • 12 years of FPSO experience minimum
  • 4 FPSO projects completed
  • Any relevant Degree
