Key Responsibilities:

The role of Technical Sales Manager is a new appointment and a pivotal addition to the Commercial department responsible for:

  • Operating as a specialist, technical sales leader across a range of Maritime sectors responsible for delivering growth in new orders and building the Client portfolio as well as developing successful relationships with partner organisations
  • Proactively qualifying leads and opportunities and undertaking customer business case evaluations
  • Hunting down new business, responsibility for identifying and securing opportunities
  • Managing the sales process all the way through to sign-off for new contract awards
  • Collaborating with the wider business including C-Suite stakeholders, Supply Chain and Programme Directors to prepare proposals to meet customer specifications and requirements, including scope, cost and T's & C's
  • Promoting Silverstream Technologies in customer sales presentations and visits representing the business in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Enhancing business performance and value provided to customers

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Marine Equipment with a proven track record of related sales within the Maritime sector
  • Strong presentation ability, with excellent communication skills to both internal and external customers
  • The ability to work well independently and be a self-starter as well as with other teams
  • Hunter mentality, decisive and action orientated with a business and customer focus
  • Experience of managing professional sales processes and developing the internal CRM system
  • UK based and available to travel (office based or home working)
