A new opening for Topside Construction Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Responsible for the mechanical completion, construction and integration of all topside modules and mooring systems, you will be required to lead and manage all 3rd party contractors related to your scope.


  • Responsible for the project site team safety management
  • Responsible for ensuring the project site team is fully aware of the requirements for project safety and the targets related to the safety management plan
  • Ensure regular ‘tool box’ meetings are held to review safety issues and concerns
  • Management of contract and interface with fabricators for construction, integration and mechanical completion of topsides modules, commercial and non commercial issues
  • Integration and mechanical completion of the turret systems
  • Management of the project, client, operator interface. Liaison with engineering for document management and technical queries
  • Responsible for providing visibility to senior management of the project status for planned activities and commercial issues
  • Management of the topsides fabrication and integration scopes of work in accordance with the schedule
  • Ensure regular communications with the project site supervisors to ensure scope, targets and current progress status are controlled
  • Prepare with site supervisors installation targets, pipe spools (fab, install, test), cables (pull, gland, term, test). Ensure project critical piping ‘mechanical completion’ activities are carried out in accordance with the project schedule. Activities include, fabrication, hydrotest, erection, flushing, reinstatement and leak test
  • Ensure accurate detailed piping OWL’s are prepared at module Load Out
  • Ensure supervisors are aware of the fabricators scope and planning priorities
  • Ensure supervisors are aware of the inspection and test requirements for their allocated systems
  • Management of the compilation and completion of the punch list by system including ordering of materials
  • Management of built drawing completion
  • Provide progress reporting input to the planning engineer, report areas of concern
  • Ensure supervisors are aware of the requirements for progress reporting
  • Management of planned mechanical completion and B scope activities FPSO wide by system and priority as applicable including verification of completions documentation carried out and compiled by fabricator



  • University in a relevant discipline
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience with minimum 10 years of experience in O&G construction
  • Minimum years of FPSO Experience: 3
  • Has an exposure to the international fabrication yards
  • Fundamental understanding of concepts, principles and practices in the oil and gas regulations/conventions
  • Fundamental understanding of Marine and Offshore contracts, commercial and budget controls.
