Johor Port exec in court accused of corruption

Kuala Lumpur: Johor Port deputy ceo Mohamad Hanafiah Abu Mansor was charged in the Johor Sessions Court yesterday with two counts of corruption, involving projects worth RM2.7 million. He pleaded not guilty to charges of syphoning 10% of the costs to build a road around the port. Prosecutors claim he took a bribe in January 2010 to select a certain construction firm to build a connecting road.

The case resumes at the end of November.  [25/10/13]
