Judger Shipbuilding bulker auction fails

Bankrupt Zhejiang shipyard Judger Shipbuilding held an auction for an unfinished 82,000dwt bulk carriers online yesterday, however the auction failed due to there being no bidders.

The vessel was one of two 82,000dwt bulkers cancelled by Hong Kong owner Parakou Shipping. The shipyard managed to sell the other one in January 2014.

The shipyard has been suffering from financial difficulties since 2012 and went bankrupt in April 2015. Its parent Judger Group, a multi sector enterprise has been also under an ongoing restructuring process since 2015.
