JX Nippon to develop Malaysia’s Layang gas field

Kuala Lumpur: JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration announced that it has received field development plan approval from Petronas for Layang gas field in Block SK10 offshore Malaysia.

JX Nippon said it aims to increase and strengthen natural the gas supply chain by the production from multiple gas fields, Helang Gas field and Layang field and it is scheduled to install floating production, storage and offloading system (FPSO) at Layang Field, as part of the field development program.

Production is set to start initially at 100m cubic feet per day of gas and about 7,000 bpd of condensate and crude. [14/05/14]
