Kassian adds one more bulker

Pappadakis family-controlled Kassian Maritime Navigation has added its second bulker in the space of just two months.

Sources say the Greek bulker outfit has added the 82,000 dwt Oriental Wise, shaking hands with Chinese coal conglomerate Qinfa, in a deal thought to be worth around $18m.

In March, Kassian was identified by brokers as the buyer of 2012-built kamsarmax Sea Ace. VesselsValue lists the outfit with 10 bulkers and one newbuilding. In comparison Qinfa Shipping is a much smaller outfit, listed with just three bulkers including the Oriental Wise.
