Kassian Maritime picks up Japanese capesize

Greek owner Kassian Maritime Navigation, controlled by the Pappadakis family, has acquired 2006-built capesize bulker Royal Chorale according to brokers.

It is reported that the Mitsui-built vessel was snapped up from Japanese owner Tokei Kaiun for $20m, not far from the fair market value of $20.2m placed on the ship by MSI.

Kassian has been adding to its fleet regularly this year, with a focus primarily on kamsarmaxes.
