KC Maritime bulker sales gather pace

Hong Kong’s KC Maritime rapid offloading of tonnage continues. A week ago it sold two panamaaxes, now it is close to offloading two kamsarmaxes. Yesterday, Splash reported how the Chelleram family bulker firm was close to selling the 81,900 dwt Darya Lok. It now emerges a similar sized vessel, Darya Radhe, is also on subjects.

Around 10 owners have inspected  the two ships with one eventually going for $14.4m and the other around $400,000 less.

KC Maritime officials declined to confirm any deal when contacted by Splash.

KC Maritime will be left with around 10 ships in the water if any of the deals materialises, most less than five years of age. The company also has a string of newbuildings.

The identity of the two buyers are tipped to be Greek.
