Keppel Offshore & Marine lands S$140m in new contracts

Singapore: Keppel Offshore & Marine has announced that subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard, Keppel Singmarine, and Keppel Nantong have all secured new contracts worth a combined total of close to S$140m.
 
Keppel Shipyard won a contract from US firm SOFEC for the fabrication of an external turret mooring system for an FPSO vessel, Keppel Singmarine has secured three contracts from Malaysia’s Bumi Armada to build two ice-class supply vessels and an ice-class multi-purpose vessel, while Keppel Nantong has secured an deal from KSP Towage in Malaysia for the construction of two tugs.
 
Michael Chia, managing director (marine & technology) of Keppel Offshore & Marine, said, "Keppel Shipyard's latest contract bears testament to our expertise and experience in Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) turret fabrication and installation, while Keppel Singmarine’s and Keppel Nantong’s contracts reiterate our competency in the construction of a variety of ships, including ice-class vessels.” [18/03/14]
