Kim Heng acquires two vessels, flips one of them

Singapore’s Kim Heng Offshore & Marine continues to take advantage of the depressed OSV market with the acquisition of two vessels, AHTS vessel Lewek Lynx from Emas and chase boat Swissco Summit from Swissco.

The Lewek Lynx will be renamed Mazu 60 and has already received a letter of intent for a two-month charter contract for the provision of tow services and other activities for an unnamed leading oil major within the net two months.

The Swissco Summit has already been sold to a foreign buyer. Splash understands that a deal to sell the vessel to Vietnamese interests was finalised last week.

Kim Heng, well-known for its shipyards, entered the OSV market in June 2017 with the acquisition of three Swiber anchor handlers and says it is in the process of acquiring more vessels.
