Kingfour Marine orders river car carrier at Wuhu Shipyard

Shanghai-based car shipping company Kingfour Marine has signed a shipbuilding contract with Wuhu Shipyar for the construction of an 800 ceu river car carrier.

The car carrier will be designed according to the navigation standards on the Yangtze River and will be deployed for car shipping operations between Chongqing and Shanghai upon delivery in 2018.

Kingfour Marine currently operates a fleet of four pure car carriers and has another four river car carriers on order. The company had earlier made plans to build a fleet of 14 vessels.
