KMNL Lodestar Shipping joins Baumarine pool

KMNL Lodestar Shipping, a joint venture between Japanese owners Meiji Shipping and Kambara Kisen, has joined the Baumarine pool with the entry of 2013-built kamsarmax Bright Pegasus.

The 82,200 dwt vessel completed scrubber installation and joined the pool at the end of March.

Baumarine is part of MaruKlav, a joint shipping pool set up by Norwegian shipowner Torvald Klaveness and Japanese trading house Marubeni, with a focus on the management of panamax bulk carriers.

“We look forward to working closely with the joint managers Marubeni and Klaveness and together build a strong foundation in the panamax market,” said Kei Fujii, director of KMNL.

KMNL Lodestar Shipping currently owns a fleet of six bulkers.
