KNOT Offshore appoints new CEO

Shuttle tanker specialist KNOT Offshore Partners has announced that is has appointed a new CEO to replace John Costain, who decided to step down as CEO and CFO in November 2018.

Commencing June 1, Gary Chapman will become the CEO and CFO of the partnership. Chapman currently serves as the CFO of Biggin Hill Airport, which owns a business aviation airport in London, and previously spent nine years with Japan’s NYK Group. Chapman will continue is his role at Biggin Hill Airport until December 1, working both roles concurrently.

KNOT Offshore Partners is sponsored by Knutsen NYK, which is jointly owned by TS Shipping Invest and NYK, and owns a fleet of six shuttle tankers.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
