Koch fixes three tanker charters

The shipping arm of US energy trading group Koch has fixed charters for two product tankers and one VLCC.

According to broker sources, Koch Shipping has taken two product tankers Gulf Moon and Gulf Mist from UAE’s Gulf Energy Maritime for one year starting from April 19 and the charter rate for each vessel is $12,500 per day.

In the meantime, Koch Shipping fixed a 300,000 dwt VLCC, Pacific Glory, from South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine for nine months starting from April 19.

Koch has been active on the tanker charter market lately. In March, it chartered a VLCC from Tsakos Energy Navigation and a suezmax tanker from Alma Maritime.
