Muscat: Korean Register (KR) – an IACS member classification society –has been fully authorized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the Sultanate of Oman to deliver “statutory services” on behalf of the Oman government.
The Oman authorities have also authorized LR and BV – alongside KR – allowing each society to perform statutory services on the government’s behalf.
Within Oman, KR is now able to conduct relevant surveys, audits and issue certificates to Oman flagged ships for SOLAS, MARPOL, ITC, ILL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and MLC. [24/06/14]
