KS Energy charters semi-submersible rig to Eni in Indonesia

KS Energy has announced that the consortium PT Java Star Rig, a joint venture of KS Drilling and Universal Energy Resources, has been awarded a contract by Eni East Sepinggan to charter semi-submersible drilling rig SSV Catarina in Indonesia.

The work is due to begin in 2019 and the expected value of the contract for the consortium is approximately $95m, a statement from the Singapore-based group explains.

KS Drilling is an 80%-owned subsidiary of KS Energy and it is mainly active in the provision of onshore and offshore drilling services, rig management and support services, oilfield equipment ownership and leasing.
