KSS Line adds VLGC order at Hyundai Heavy

South Korean owner KSS Line has placed an order at a Hyundai Heavy Industries for the construction of another 84,000 cu m VLGC.

The latest order will add the number of KSS Line’s VLGC newbuildings at the yard to five.

The price for the latest ship is $77.9m according to shipbroking sources, slightly higher than the price of $76m for the same series of ships ordered at the yard last year. All the ships in the series will be fitted with scrubbers.

KSS Line currently owns a fleet of 29 vessels made up of 18 LPG carriers, 7 chemical tankers and four LNG carriers.
