Singapore: Singapore-based Kumiai Navigation, a subsidiary of Japanese owner Kumiai Senpaku, has ordered two newcastlemax bulkers at Nantong Cosco KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS). The 209,000 dwt vessels will be flagged in Singapore and will deliver towards the end of 2016. No cost has been revealed.
Kumiai, which has had a presence in Singapore since 1995, also has a VLGC and a handymax bulker on order. [19/09/14]
