Kyoei Tanker orders VLCC at JMU

Kyoei Tanker announced has placed an order for a 311,000 dwt VLCC with compatriot yard Japan Marine United (JMU). The ship will deliver in the third quarter of 2019 with the tanker owner saying the acquisition is part of its fleet renewal process.

Kyoei Tanker has five VLCCs in its diverse fleet. It has two other VLCCs on order, one at Namura and another at JMU.
