Landmark Indonesian AHTS delivered

Jakarta: Marco Polo Marine’s subsidiary PT Pelarayan Nasional Bina Buana Raya has taken delivery of a 9,000 bhp anchor handling tug supply vessel. Four fifths of the funding came from a bank loan with the remainder cash raised from the subdidiary’s initial public offering.

“This 9000 bhp AHTS vessel, named MP Prevail, is one of the most powerful AHTS vessels in Indonesia today,” Pelarayan Nasional said in a release.

The vessel is equipped with Dynamic Positioning 2 (DP2) and the engine itself is expected to have a bollard pull of about 115 tons. This vessel is the first modern AHTS vessels 9000 bhp to fly the Indonesian flag.

Pelarayan Nasional said it will continue to seek opportunities to expand its business by adding more OSVs.  [20/06/13]
