Largest cruiseship yet coming to Asia

Singapore: Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas will become the largest ship to be based in Asia, when it enters the region later this month. At 138,000 grt, Mariner of the Seas can carry 3,807 guests. It will begin its maiden Asian season from Singapore on 1 June.

In June the ship will offer a 3 and 4 night sailing from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi in Malaysia. Subsequently, it will move to China and offer a choice of 4/5/7 night and longer North Asia sailings from Shanghai.  Later in the year, Mariner of the Seas will return to Singapore and offer a variety of sailings till March next year, adding Penang to the list of the Malaysian destinations as well as Phuket to its itineraries.  [16/05/13]
